Ferromagnetic study of NdCaFeSnO 6 compound
Résumé
Abstract We conducted the study of magnetic characterization of the newly synthesized double perovskite NdCaFeSnO 6 (NCFSO), obtained through a conventional solid-state reaction route. These family materials are known to possess the multifunctional behaviour. Magnetic measurements based on M – H hysteresis loops and M – T variation revealed a clear ferromagnetic domain reordering as a function of temperature. We evidenced a broadened ferromagnetic-to-paramagnetic phase transition where the characteristic anomaly temperature varies as a function of applied magnetic field. At zero field cooled measurements the anomaly appeared at 229 K compared to 208 K in 300 Oe field cooled measurements; those were determined by analysing the curve of derivative magnetization versus temperature. Saturated M – H hysteresis loops were observed at very low temperatures and were attributed to domains reordering and high stability of the structure that was weakly influenced by thermal fluctuations. The square-shaped hysteresis loop observed at 20 K is characteristic of ferromagnetic domains featuring bistable magnetization, and strong magnetic anisotropy. These findings underscore the promise of NCFSO as a strong candidate for low-temperature ferromagnetic technologies and next-generation spintronic applications.
