Correction: Melittin alcalase-hydrolysate: a novel chemically characterized multifunctional bioagent; antibacterial, anti-biofilm and anticancer

Subject: Request for minor correction-doi: 10.3389/fmicb.2024.1419917 Dear Editor, We are writing to request a minor correction to our published article entitled "Melittin alcalasehydrolysate: a novel chemically characterized multifunctional bioagent; antibacterial, anti-biofilm and anticancer" (Frontiers in Microbiology, 2024Microbiology, , doi: 10.3389/fmicb.2024.1419917).1419917).Two typographical errors were identified:1. In the Methods section, the manuscript mistakenly referred to "BLG" (beta-lactoglobulin). The correct protein is melittin. The corrected sentence should read: "The masses of the resulting peptides were matched to the original amino acid sequence of melittin registered in UniProt."2. In the Conclusion, the manuscript incorrectly stated that the "2-h hydrolysate" was fractionated into F1-F3. The correct statement is: "The 60-min hydrolysate was fractionated by Sephadex G-25 gel filtration chromatography into three fractions (F1, F2, and F3)."These corrections are purely editorial and do not affect the experimental design, data interpretation, or conclusions of the study.
