Effectiveness of Gender Budgeting in Sub-Saharan Africa

Résumé

Abstract The aim of this study is to verify the impact of gender budgeting on gender inequalities and on public spending in Sub-Saharan Africa. The analysis covers a sample of thirty (30) countries in Sub-Saharan Africa covering the period 2000–2015. The results obtained using a panel data analysis by the generalized method of moments (GMM) in difference and in system show that gender budgeting significantly reduces gender inequalities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
