Potential competing interests: No potential competing interests to declare.A bit too many parts of repetition, where more could be said in fewer words.Of course, interesting concepts found within the "house-church" include the oikos itself, which was very female-centric and directed towards the honour/shame boundary system and purity concerns.This actually led to unrest within the communities, as Paul discusses in Corinthians -It might have been an interesting angle to add to the article, but I know this is not your focus.You could also look at John Kloppenborg's work, as he is an expert in early Christian communities and churches, especially the spread of the church.Paul also likes to use fictive familial language, which also plays into the home/house narrative and established not only peace but also a dispensational theology within these small communities -we are all now brothers and sisters, with God as the father.
