Conditions of Grant Award

Résumé

The Conditions of Grant is an important risk management tool that is employed by funding agencies to minimise the risk events that may emerge, post grant award. The Conditions of Grant must clearly stipulate to the grant holder the parameters around which the (i) grant funds can be used; (ii) the research institution’s role and responsibilities; (iii) data management and storage; (iv) intellectual property rights; (v) the payment of funds; (vi) transfer of grant; and (vii) reporting. It also affirms that the research equipment must be included in the asset register and managed in accordance with the asset management policy of the research institution.
