Global behavior and the periodic character of some biological models

Résumé

Abstract Biological models are usually described using difference equations. As a result, we are - in this work - interested in studying a general difference model which includes two biological models as special cases. In detail, we study the qualitative behaviors (local and global stability, boundedness and periodicity character) of a general difference model. Furthermore, we apply our general results to the population model with two age classes and the flour beetle model.
