L'Agénésie Pulmonaire Unilatérale : Une Cause Rare de Détresse Respiratoire Néo Natale

RESUME L’agenesie pulmonaire unilaterale est une malformation congenitale rare, engendree par l’absence d’une artere pulmonaire. Nous rapportons le cas d'une agenesie pulmonaire unilaterale associee a une malformation cardiaque chez un nourrisson. Elle a ete evoquee a la radiographie thoracique par une opacite homogene diffuse d’un hemi champ pulmonaire associee a l’echographie cardiaque par des communications inter auriculaire et inter ventriculaire ayant entraine une detresse respiratoire. Dans notre cas, cette affection generalement grave a eu une issue fatale avant la confirmation par l’angioscanner thoracique. ABSTRACT Unilateral pulmonary agenesis is a rare congenital malformation characterized by the absence of the pulmonary artery. We report the case of a newborn with unilateral pulmonary agenesis associated with a congenital heart disease who presented with neonatal respiratory distress. The diagnosis was based on retractile opacity of a hemithorax on chest x ray associated to atrial and ventricular septal defects on echocardiography. The baby died before cardiopulmonary angioscanner. Unilateral pulmonary agenesis is a serious condition usually associated with complex cardiac malformations.
