Potential competing interests: No potential competing interests to declare.The study contributes to the body of knowledge related to the epidemiology of Dengue fever.The study is concise and well written.The methods and data analysis plan were clearly spelt out.The conclusions and limitations were well defined; the conclusions showed apt information that there are no gender deviations in relation to being infected with dengue fever in the population studied.One limitation that can be improved upon is the retrospective nature; hence, a prospective study will be more robust in the future.Overall, the study is fit for publication.
