Optimal Controller Design for a Hybrid AC-DC Microgrid System
Résumé
Abstract In this paper, an optimal control scheme for a Hybrid-Microgrid System (H- MGS) that has been tuned using the arithmetic optimization algorithm (AOA) is presented. This method is suggested in this study to obtain the optimal PI controller parameters for the H-MG when connecting to and disconnecting from the grid. The proposed system consists of Direct Current Microgrids (DC-MG) and Alternating Current Microgrids (AC-MG). A solar photovoltaic system (PVS), a hydrogen storage energy system, and a DC load coupled via a DC-DC buck converter make up the DC-MG. The AC-MG is made up of a wind turbine system, a battery system that powers a variable AC load, and an induction motor. The results are contrasted with those obtained from designing a control system using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Cuckoo Search (CS) and Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) approaches for a variety of test situations. In comparison to previous methodologies, the AOA simulation results are more accurate and have reduced settling time, rising time, and overshoot.
