Le Fibrome Ossifiant des Maxillaires : à propos d’un Cas

RESUME Le fibrome ossifiant est une tumeur benigne rare, le plus souvent de decouverte fortuite. Les auteurs rapportent l’observation d’un patient de 23 ans qui a consulte pour une tumefaction douloureuse du maxillaire droit. De consistance dure, allant de la dent 12 a la 15 avec la persistance de la dent 53. La radiographie panoramique dentaire a mis en evidence une image radio claire bien circonscrite et la canine (13) incluse. Le traitement a consiste en l’exerese chirurgicale de la tumeur et aux extractions des dents 63 et 13. L’examen histopathologique a conclu au diagnostic de fibrome ossifiant. Le diagnostic des fibromes peut etre difficile a poser. Seule la chirurgie associee a une analyse histologique peut le confirmer ABSTRACT Ossifying fibroma is a rare benign tumor, most often discovered by chance. The authors report the observation of a 23-year-old patient who consulted for painful swelling of the right jaw. Hard in consistency, ranging from tooth 12 to 15 with the persistence of tooth 53. The dental panoramic x-ray showed a clear, well-defined X-ray image. Treatment consisted of surgical excision of the tumor and extraction of tooth 63 and 13. Histopathological examination concluded with the diagnosis of ossifying fibroma. The diagnosis of fibroids can be difficult to make. Only surgery combined with histological analysis can confirm this.
