Evaluating the System Reliability of the Bridge StructureUsing the Unit Half-Logistic Geometric Distribution

Résumé

Abstract Recently, reliability concept is widely used in manufacturing fields and manyother fields. In this paper, a system of five components with a bridge networkcomponent is studied. All components are assumed to be identical and havea changeable failure rate with time. Moreover, all components are assumed tohave the unit half-logistic geometric distribution. In addition, some propertiesincluding mean time to failure (MTTF), \[Alpha]-fractiles, and reliability equivalencefactor (REF) are studied. The bridge system is improved due to the reduc-tion and the duplication methods. Finally, numerical results are presented to illustrate the difference between these methods.
