Résumé

Potential competing interests: The paper represents literature research combined with social exchange theory to identify the determinants of cooperative behaviors for effective water conservation.Some stated recommendations include educational initiatives, establishing effective communication channels among stakeholders, implementing reward and punishment systems to encourage sustainable practices, and using social sanctions to deter unsustainable behaviors.The results of this research provide valuable insights into promoting a cooperative and collaborative approach to water conservation by encouraging sustainable water management practices.This study enriches the inflection points to combat water scarcity and see future prospects for research and policy development in the field of water resources management.
