Geopolitics and Bioethics in Pandemic Response: The Case of Moldova

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted geopolitical and bioethical challenges to public health and social life.Small states like Moldova have been under international pressure that has tested their sovereignty, constitutional independence, and social cohesion.The introduction of experimental mRNA vaccines, movement restrictions, and compliance with Western directives have highlighted the so-called "great reset" as a tool of policy and technocratic global control.Geopolitics in public health is determined by international relations, with access to resources and strategic confrontations.As an East-West "transition zone", Moldova faces pressure to conform to Western standards, including adopting experimental mRNA vaccine formulations, without a complete risk assessment.Bioethics in geopolitical and social crises must be based on the constitutional principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice.In Moldova, mandatory vaccination and the lack of transparency about side effects indicate that decisions were imposed "from above".The so-called "great reset", also known as the great reset, projects a global new social contract of control of society and people, where technology and globalisation promote strict control and limitation of national sovereignty of states.In Moldova, this was associated with acceptance of experimental vaccines and the erosion of public trust.
