Résumé

The role of peer teaching in the university has gained significant attention in recent times, with various studies highlighting its potential benefits for both academic performance and student involvement (Roy Swangalry, 2024). Peer teaching is a student-centered, active learning approach in which pupils pick up knowledge by doing, encouraging students to genuinely retain the vast amount of knowledge they encounter during their school education. The outcome of teaching and learning process is usually assessed through academic performance of students. Academic performance according to Mahona and Mkulu, (2020) is the knowledge or skills developed by students in the school, which is measured by test scores or marks assigned by the teacher or institution.
