Óleo de girassol ozonizado na cicatrização de ferida em gato: Relato de caso

Résumé

Therapies with the use of ozone have been increasingly applied in both human and veterinary medicine due to its high oxygenating and antioxidant power. These factors stimulate the formation of deoxygenating substances within pathogens, which release oxygen into oxyhemoglobins, increasing its migration to epithelial tissues, thus being used in fungal, bacterial, viral and skin lesions. This work aims to report a clinical case of a feline whose veterinary medical clinic’s routine utilized ozone therapy in the primary treatment via ozonized sunflower oil in the tissue repair process. This method can help with the dermal secondary intention healing, having a good acceptance, not causing discomfort or stress to the animal and contributing to its well-being.
