Review of: "Climate Change and Sustainability: A Comparative Case Study"
Résumé
A Comparative Case Study, deals with a very relevant and current issues of importance.In an era of climate uncertainty this article and the contents are apt setting the stage for a robust discussion as we move towards COP28.The table presented should include products bye-back or retake by manufacturers, which should be part of products pricing.This will help to reduce unintended consequences from waste such as end of life products on the environment, which currently remain the order of the day especially in the global south where recycling are not as robust as the global north.Moving forward, it may also be nice to address issues relating to decoupling growth from resource consumption.This article though touched on this, but transiently.So an indebt reasoning and analysis of it may be necessary in an attempt to reengineered population mindset with consumption mentality.Sweden and her population may have succeeded fighting climate change because of the willingness of the populace to attune with current realities but when juxtaposed with Indian, which is currently the most populous nation on earth, the realities are as diverse as presented.Again this study set the stage for some further analysis that may become necessary in an attempt to make the global north take the required responsibilities and provides the needed resources for adaptation and mitigation measures required to tackle climate change.
