THE NATURE OF THE FIGURATIVE SPEECH AND ITS RHETORICAL EFFECT IN THE DICTIONARY "ASAS AL-BALAGHAH" BY ZAMAKHSHARI

Résumé

This research aims to highlight the unique lexical characteristic adopted by "Al-Zamakhshari" in his dictionary "Asas al-Balaghah". It is an attempt to elaborate on the methodological form used to achieve his distinctive style, which is based on generating lexical terms from their literal meanings to figurative speech. This also contributes to the expansion of rhetoric and enriches the Arabic language.
