Review of: "Facility Management Challenges of Public Educational Facilities in Nigeria"

When addressing the topic of maintenance, a precise overview should be given (ex: year of construction, frequency of maintenance, frequent problems….)There is a lack of theoretical background.Open ended questionnaire seems more relevant than the close ended one to answer the research questions proposed in this article Attention should be accorded to users of the facilities to have a better view (students for example).In this article, solutions are given randomly without prior knowledge or justification.Working in focus group with practitioners or users is recommended to understand the situation and suggest solutions.Mitigating strategies should be adressed by qualitative method.The authors suggested improving FM practices without justifiying the given propositions and their position in the education system.Contrast with ideal maintenance standards from developed countries or a facility in Nigeria which belongs to international group and uses international standards.The impact of FM for students should be also highlighted Provide details on the resources allocated to maintenance (ex: annual budget of maintenance, human resources profile and workforce) Method section is poor More insights should be given about confidentiality and ethics For the form problems: Abstract should be rewritten, shorten and made more attractive.Please group paragraphs dealing with the same idea to avoid redundancy.Try to improve the transition between ideas.The development of the ideas may seems long and boring for the reader Demographic insights about participants should be addressed in the method section Introduce every acronym before using it in the text.At the first time, put the acronym in parentheses after the full term.Thereafter, you can stick to using the acronym (ex: using IFMA without introducing it first is confusing) Acronyms should be written in capital letters.
