DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY GENERATOR HARNESSING ELECTRIC MOTOR AND ALTERNATOR FOR POLLUTION-FREE POWER GENERATION
Résumé
The urgent demand for clean energy solutions has driven the need for innovative methods of power generation. This paper presents the design and construction of a fuelless generator that utilizes an electric motor and alternator as a novel alternative to traditional fossil fuel generators. The primary objective of this ground-breaking innovation is to address environmental pollution caused by conventional generators while meeting the growing global energy demands sustainably. The research focuses on the design, fabrication, and characterization of a fuelless AC generator that generates energy using a DC motor coupled to an alternator. The system includes careful energy source selection, efficient electric motor and alternator choice, integration of energy storage systems, advanced control, and power management mechanisms, and the implementation of safety measures. The fuelless generator, powered by a rechargeable 12V/75Ah battery driving a DC electric motor, successfully generates a consistent 220V output voltage through the alternator. The output voltage is carefully managed to replenish the battery and power utility loads efficiently. Experimental results demonstrate that the generator consistently provides a steady 220V output voltage under various load situations. The fuelless generator presented in this study offers a sustainable and economically feasible alternative to traditional fossil fuel generators. By harnessing electro-mechanical energy sources and reducing dependency on fossil fuels, it shows promise in significantly decreasing negative environmental consequences associated with conventional power generation technologies. The ability of the generator to maintain a steady 220V output voltage and ensure a continuous power supply for various applications highlights its potential for practical implementation and widespread adoption. Keywords: Clean energy, Electro-mechanical, Environmental pollution, Fuelless Generator, Fossil fuel
