Etude des profils des femmes victimes de violences, de leurs agresseurs et les caractéristiques de la violence subie
Résumé
INTRODUCTION: Violence against women is a real public health problem. The objective of this thesis is to provide users with a set of statistical indicators on the phenomenon of violence against women in Morocco, on the socio-economic environment of these women and, in general, on the characteristics of the population targeted by this study. METHOD: We conducted a cross-sectional retrospective study to determine the profile of women victims of violence, their abusers and the characteristics of the violence they experienced. This study is being conducted in 2017. During this year, 107 cases of women victims of violence were recorded and they consulted the forensic medicine department of the Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat. A questionnaire was used to obtain reliable, real and interpretable data from the medical records completed during the consultation. The data analysis was performed by the SPPSS 13.0. software by the team of the Laboratory of Biostatistics, Clinical Research and Epidemiology (LBRCE) of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Rabat. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: In 80.4% of cases, women victims of violence are married. They are young, mostly educated and working. The abuser is a man in all cases, it is essentially the spouse. This violence takes all forms: physical (103 cases), psychological (95 cases), sexual (24 cases), economic and legal. CONCLUSION: There are many factors that contribute to violence against women. The profiles of aggressors and victims are very broad. It would be interesting to study more specific aspects of violence in order to develop tools, methods and means that would enable victims and perpetrators to break out of this cycle of violence.
