Design and Simulation of a Highly Sensitive Photonic Crystal Fiber Sensor for Malaria Detection
Résumé
Abstract In this word, we investigate a sensor-based photonic crystal fiber with a cladding region composed of four layers of air holes with circular geometry. Two of these holes were filled with hemoglobin. The dispersion behavior was reported numerically, and the proposed PCF was found to exhibit highly sensitive behavior at a wavelength of 1.2µm. Our findings suggest that this PCF shows promising potential for use in blood sensing applications, and may be particularly useful for detecting malaria.
