Potential competing interests: No potential competing interests to declare.In Africa, the culture and tradition make it difficult for women to access credit from both formal and informal financial institutions.As such, your study has created an awareness of some of the specific barriers that these women face.However, considering the fact that you have used a qualitative analysis, I think it would be better if you increase the number of citations (empirical evidence) relating to each of the barriers.From your study, you have only one piece of empirical evidence relating to each of the barriers.I think if you check on other empirical evidence, it will add more weight to your work.Thanks
